System Architecture Security Features

  • SSL 128-bit end-to-end data encryption used during all sessions
  • passwords safely stored at users PC rather than on the I'm InTouch servers
  • end-to-end authentication and dual passwords required for login
  • no remote session data stored on I'm InTouch servers
  • multiple failed log-in attempts will result in lock-out
  • remote access session time-out after defined period of inactivity
  • retains OS-level access controls already in place on the users PC
  • uses standard firewall ports 80 & 443 only, eliminating the need to open ports on firewalls
   

  Where are my passwords stored?

 

All passwords are stored on your computer running I’m InTouch, ensuring that no is granted unauthorized access to your personal data.

   

  How can I change my passwords?

 

You can easily change your password at any time, a good security practice. I’m InTouch allows you to do this from both your host computer running I’m InTouch and during a remote session from anywhere in the world.

To change your passwords while located at the computer running I’m InTouch, open the program window by selecting the I’m InTouch program icon in your system tray (green satellite), and navigating to the User Information screen. From here you will type in your new Remote Access Login Name and Password and then select the Apply button to have the system update your new passwords.

To change your passwords when you are away from your computer, log-in to I’m InTouch and select the Configuration feature from the Home page. Choose Password Management, make your changes, remembering to select the Submit button for the changes to be accepted back at your computer running I’m InTouch.
