01 Communique recently announced that it has filed a patent application for its Secure Email Attachment and Retrieval technology. This technology provides a system and method for securely accessing a networked computer from a remote access terminal and a connection key.

A typical example is inadvertently sending an email with a confidential attachment to a wrong recipient. Even if it is the correct recipient the question still becomes, how do I ensure the physical control of the file with its confidential information when the file has physically left my control," said Andrew Cheung, President and CEO of 01 Communique. "The answer to this question is simple. With our technology, the recipient will not be able to access the file unless they are logically and physically authenticated. This cannot be compromised as the file remains behind your corporate firewall on your corporate network with access restricted to only those that you allow access."
