Install Remote Desktop Connection

There are two simple steps to install the remote desktop connection software onto the computer that you wish to access remotely:

  1. Sign up for our Remote Desktop Connection service
  2. Login to your Administrator page to activate and install your remote desktop connection

The installation of the remote desktop connection only takes a few minutes, you just need to enter:

  Computer Name
(to identify the host computer)
Example: Office-Stewart
  Login Name Example: JStewart
  Password Example: $tewart1390

Start Remote Desktop Session

Once the remote desktop connection software is installed on the host computer with an Internet connection, you can start a remote desktop session at anytime from anywhere:

  1. From any computer or mobile device go to Remote Access Login
  2. You can either enter your Login ID and Password (used during the sign-up), or enter the Computer Name (used when installing I’m InTouch on the host computer)
  3. If you logged in by using your Login ID and Password, click on the computer that you want to start a remote desktop session with

Starting your remote desktop connection is extremely convenient. You do not need to install any additional software on the device you will use to remotely access your computer, plus you can use any electronic device with an Internet connection.

Changing Your Remote Desktop Settings

The Central Administration screen provides an efficient and effective way to manage multiple Remote Desktop connections. From here you can view and set user settings and physical authentication for each computer you want to access remotely, add or remove users, purchase additional user licenses and activate them, or view billing information.

List of Computers

If you have set up a complex remote desktop connection network that involves multiple desktops with remote connection software it can be beneficial to use the List of Computers function.

This is a central page that gives you quick access to all of the networked desktops so you do not need individual login information to remotely access each individual desktop.

Basic security settings that come standard on all remote desktop software include:

No Ports Opened – No need to open new ports on your firewall or router, preventing from compromising security
